Here are the biggest announcements, product updates, and news stories impacting the digital marketing industry last week:

Run a Facebook page? Now you can create a Facebook group and link it directly to your page. This marks the first time that pages, essentially businesses and brands, can create groups. Previously, groups could only be created and moderated by individual user accounts. The product has been in testing since April, when CNET first reported on it, but now appears to be live globally. An example of how esers can access Groups linked to a Page is pictured below. For more on this, checkout the announcement from Facebook CFO Chris Cox on his Facebook page.

Amazon Announces ‘Spark’ Social Feed

Amazon has dipped its toes into the social media arena with Spark, a product feed that looks and feels very similar to Instagram. The root idea behind Spark is a simple product feed based on shared interests from your social network. The feature is built into the Amazon iPhone App and is available to all users. After getting started and selecting your interest, just start scrolling!

Google Analytics Rolls Out ‘Ask A Question’

Finding data and information inside Google Analtyics can be a challenge, even for the most advanced users. To make things easier, Google has announced ‘Ask A Question’ inside analytics as a why to get instant answers, without having to dig through mountains of data. Dubbed Analytics Intelligence, it is launched in the mobile app by clicking the circle icon with three dots in the upper right corner. On desktop, users can type queries, rather than speaking them, into a box after clicking the same icon. For more on this story, checkout Ginny Marvin’s coverage on Search Engine Land.
