You log onto LinkedIn, ready to track down a candidate for a new job order or identify 10 new sales prospects. You punch in the desired keyword to execute your LinkedIn search and VOILA! You have a few hundred people to comb through. Problem is after you go through the handful of 1st, 2nd, and 3rd degree connections, as well as fellow group members, you run into the issue of limited information regarding the remaining prospects in your search results. You start to see “John F”, “Sarah B”, or even worse, “LinkedIn Member”. Does this sound familiar? What good does “LinkedIn Member” do you? As long as you have a basic LinkedIn account or a lower-tier premium subscription, there is no way to dig deeper into the long list of remaining prospects. Well it now appears that LinkedIn has finally answered our prayers… Depending on how closely you follow the changes and updates LinkedIn makes on a daily basis, you might have missed their latest announcement on how they will drastically improve their search function for all users. In the coming weeks every user will now have full name and profile visibility – Everyone will be able to view full names and profiles for anyone in their extended network (1st, 2nd, and 3rd degree). No longer do you need a premium account to have unlimited search results.
