Google AdWords Account Maintenance

Google AdWords is one of the best tools out there to run an internet marketing campaign. It offers so many benefits that not using it will be a disservice to your business. So maintaining your AdWords account should be at the top of your to-do list. But how do you keep up with it? No problem. You just need to remember a few things to stay up on and you'll be able to keep your AdWords account and marketing campaigns running smooth. Here are some tips to do just that.

Check Your Performance

Before doing anything else, check up on the performance of your current campaigns. This will give you a real-time idea of what is working, and what could be improved upon. This is also one of the easiest things to do. Just use your AdWords dashboard to evaluate the success of your ads. Notice which ads garner the highest click-through rate. This will show you the ads that people actually clicked on. Take note of the aspects: is it a text or visual ad; where is it placed on the page? By taking note of your successful ads, you can tailor the underreporting ads to match. Check again in a few weeks and see if anything changed. There's always a chance you're running the ads on websites that don't quite align with your target audience.

Are Your Keywords Correct?

By now, you should know how important choosing the right keywords is for everything you do online. Whether you're writing a blog post or creating a new ad campaign, using the right keywords is crucial to success. If some of your ads aren't performing as well as they should, you need to rethink your keyword choices. Play around with different words and see if you can get a boost. Chances are, if you tweak your keywords, you'll see some good results. And if you hit upon a successful group of keywords, you can take those and use them in all of your ads.

Have A Great Landing Page

Maybe your click-through rate is good but you're not seeing a correlation in your conversions. This could be because you lack a landing page that grabs the interest of your customers. Your landing page should work hand-in-hand with your AdWords campaigns. If your ad is for, say, muffler repair and the ad lands on a page about brakes, you are frustrating potential clients and they may not give you a second chance. This will help you figure out of the ads are working or if you're just not doing the right thing on the back end.

Your AdWords Account Is Important
