Snippets accompanying search results on Google are getting longer. Users have been noticing the longer snippets over the last few weeks and Google has now confirmed the update. Tracking of the update shows that snippets have increased from 160 characters to 230 characters on average. Click here for more on this story from Search Engine Land. It was a busy week for Pintrest. First they launched a new chatbot, pictured below, that users can ask questions and get relevant pins in response. They also added new Facebook Messenger features that allow users to interact with Pintrest directly inside Messenger. Pintrest is hoping to capture new users from the 1 million pins shared weekly via Messenger. Pintrest believes if Messenger users can get a better feel for Pintrest without having to leave Messenger, they are more likely to become Pintrest users themselves.
